Senior Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Kong API Gateway and integrate it with existing APIs.
• Work with Kong Ingress and Kubernetes configurations.
• Design and implement APIs for web and mobile applications, adhering to API design standards and best practices.
• Maintain public API specifications and documentation using the KONG Developer portal.
• Monitor and debug platform and application issues.
• Automate Kong API Gateway configurations as part of the DevOps pipeline.
• Ensure application security by adhering to industry standards and trends.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway.
• Experience with Kubernetes platform.
• Knowledge of API design standards, patterns, open API specifications (Swagger and OpenAPI 2.0), REST, JSON, and XML.
• Experience in maintaining public API specifications and documentation using the KONG Developer portal.
• Proficiency in Java, APIs, Webservices, SOA, Microservices, and EDA.
• Experience with tools such as Rest Assured, JMeter, JUnit, Postman, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Good to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of OAUTH/OIDC – token-based authentication protocols.
• Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with application security considerations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in integration and microservices.
• Proven skills in implementing APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Excellent understanding of conceptual and physical design of application integration using APIs and events.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with automating Kong API Gateway configurations within a DevOps pipeline.
• Good knowledge of platform monitoring and debugging.
