Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Design & Development: Take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and high standards of quality.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner and development team to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios that meet business and technical requirements.
3. Test Execution: Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios and automation capabilities across all test levels and types, including automated, regression, exploratory, and more.
4. Test Framework Optimization: Create and optimize test frameworks, integrating them seamlessly into CI/CD deployment pipelines for efficient and effective testing.
5. Code Review: Participate in the code review process for both production and test code to ensure all critical cases are covered and best practices are followed.
6. Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor test runs, application errors, and performance metrics, providing feedback to the development team to address any issues promptly.
7. Communication & Documentation: Maintain clear communication with the team, keeping them informed of testing progress, release plans, and defect tracking. Act as a key stakeholder in these processes.
8. Best Practices: Share best testing and quality practices across the organization, particularly with the Zooplus team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
9. Team Coaching: Promote and coach the team towards a quality-focused mindset, helping them adopt best practices and maintain high standards in testing.
10. Continuous Improvement: Lead the team towards continuous improvement in testing processes and practices, influencing their adoption of industry best practices.
11. QA Center of Practice: Serve as a reference point for the QA Center of Practice, promoting their practices and contributing your team’s experience to influence and refine their strategy.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Test Automation Expertise: Strong experience working with modern test automation frameworks and tools such as WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Cucumber, react-testing-library, etc.
2. Diverse Testing Practices: Extensive experience in different testing practices, ranging from unit to load, endurance, and cross-platform testing, with a strong focus on integration within CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency with testing tools like WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Cucumber, and react-testing-library.
• Experience in the Retail domain, with a good understanding of the specific challenges and requirements.
