Business Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams

• Requirements Discussion with clients and Understand Client Objectives
• Elicit customer requirements using different tools like interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details
• Translate customer requirements and business needs into application and operational requirements
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Requirements Document including process flows, wireframes etc.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Work independently with minimal or no supervision
• Engineering/consulting experience with a successful track record
• The ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Conduct Training for Clients / System Users
• Ready for Travel (Short Term and Long Term)
• Deep understanding of software development methodology
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Timesheet Systems)

Skills Required:

• Strong analytical skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• BPMN Tool, MS Visio, Axure, Proto.io
• Proficiency in office tools (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Type of candidate needed:

Candidates having the following experience will be suitable:

1.      Development side + Business analyst + Project management Exposure

OR

2       Business Analyst Exp with Engineering (BE/B Tech.) Background

OR

3       QA with Technical Background + Business Analyst Exp

• Candidates from point#1 will be the ideal candidates
• The preferred technology Stack is Open Source, but other technical background candidates will be fine if willing to work in the Open Source technology stack
• Experience with Overseas clients is a must (preferred US and European Clients)
• Onsite exposure would be added advantage
