Data Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling. They should be proficient in ETL tools, and SQL, and have experience with source-to-target mappings. The candidate should also possess knowledge of KPI and Power BI, along with a good understanding of backend or dashboarding tools. Familiarity with Python is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Perform source-to-target mappings and ensure accurate data transformation. Create and maintain data models and dimension models to support business reporting and analytics needs.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Participate in performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
• Provide support in the development and implementation of KPI computations and decision-making processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering, ETL tools, and data visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate data solutions into new or existing products.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in production environments.
  Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles.
• Proficiency in ETL tools and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Experience performing source-to-target mappings and ensuring data accuracy.
• Good understanding of data modeling and dimension modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with KPI computations and decision-making processes using backend or dashboarding tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Python knowledge is a plus.
