Role Objective
*Trend research and in-depth market survey in order to thoroughly understand market needs.
* In-depth understanding of the Brand’s look and design philosophy and providing new yet commercial ideas.
* Conceptualizing Stories, building the detailed Mood board for the concepts planned, and creating appropriate color palettes for the collections.
* Sourcing fabrics and other materials to facilitate the conceptualization and execution process.
* Development of Print designs and planning of unique and new placements, motifs, and layouts.
* Exploration of patterns, colors, and techniques to create new and unusual print designs keeping in mind the brand’s product range.
* Implement basic knowledge of printing techniques while designing to ensure desired results.
* Create innovative prints, techniques, and layouts and propose new ways of applying prints to garments.
* Coordination with the sourcing team during the entire development process.
* Adhering to timelines set as per the organizational T&A calendar.
* Precision at the first stage of textile development in terms of color, artwork, scale, and technique to ensure that with minimal changes/strike-offs, excellent quality/designed sampling fabric is delivered.
* The understanding of story looks and contributes to conceptualizing collections.
* Inter & Intra department/ vendor coordination and follow up.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge and skill set
* A proactive individual with strong follow-up capability.
* Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of prints.
* Attitudinal Skills: People Management and leadership skills with great time management and interpersonal skills.
Education *NIFT/ NID/Design Graduate
Experience * 4 to 5 years in a similar industry.
