Network Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Feature Development: Design, develop, and implement features on switching/routing protocols such as OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol), and BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection).
• Network Management: Oversee and manage network configurations, including routing and switching, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• System Programming: Engage in C programming and Linux programming to develop robust networking solutions.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve network issues by utilizing extensive knowledge of networking protocols and systems.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, changes, and standards to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain management teams, to integrate networking solutions that support business operations.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and enhance network performance, scalability, and security.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in networking technologies and protocols to ensure the company’s network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
• Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with team members.

Mandatory Skills:

• C Programming: Proficient in C programming for network-related development.
• Linux Programming: Strong experience in programming within Linux environments, including system calls, scripting, and kernel programming.
• Networking Protocols: In-depth knowledge and experience with OSPF, BGP, VRRP, and BFD.

Desired Skills:

• Additional Networking Experience: Further expertise in other networking protocols and technologies.
• Advanced Linux Skills: Advanced knowledge of Linux internals and experience with Linux-based networking tools.
