Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, Develop, and Implement ServiceNow Solutions:
Create and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring minimal customization and staying as Out-of-the-Box as possible.
Implement integrations using tools like REST APIs, JDBC, MID servers, and Integration Hub to enhance system functionality.
Develop and Maintain ServiceNow Workflows:
Build and manage ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and notifications to support business processes and security policies.
Requirements Gathering and Translation:
Collaborate with various business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ServiceNow customization and development.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow configurations and customizations, ensuring smooth functioning of the system.
Technical Expertise and Support:
Provide technical guidance and expertise on questions related to the development and maintenance of ServiceNow functionality.
Support business stakeholders and internal teams with problem resolution and optimization suggestions.
Mentorship and Leadership:
Mentor junior developers, offering technical guidance and support as needed to enhance their skills and improve team productivity.
Agile Development and Methodology:
Participate in the software development process, utilizing agile methodologies for effective project management and delivery.
Contribute to sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and regular project reviews.
ServiceNow Upgrades and Instance Health:
Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, and ensure smooth transitions by reviewing and aligning with instance health scans and best practices.
Ensure that customizations remain compliant with the latest ServiceNow release features and functionalities.
Documentation and Best Practices:
Create and maintain documentation for all ServiceNow configurations, workflows, integrations, and customizations, ensuring clear communication and reference materials.
Staying Up to Date with New Features and Releases:
Stay informed on ServiceNow releases, new features, and industry best practices to ensure the platform is optimized and leveraging the latest capabilities.
Collaboration and Prioritization:
Work closely with the development team and other business stakeholders to ensure timely and prioritized completion of deliverables and maintain project alignment with business goals.
Mandatory Skills:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is required.
Expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and customization.
Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules.
Good to Have Skills:
6+ years of experience in ServiceNow administration and development.
Familiarity with HR Service Delivery, Application Portfolio Management, or ITOM applications (such as CMDB, Discovery, Event Management).
Experience using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework and other testing tools.
Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST APIs, JDBC, MID servers, Integration Hub).
